Max is an experienced executive coach specializing in one-on-one, team, and group coaching designed to foster leadership and professional growth through methodologies based in behavioral science. This science includes a combination of evolutionary biology, social psychology and neuroscience which enhance our understanding of human behavior, shedding light on how and why people think, feel and behave the ways they do. This knowledge in turn helps us create an environment to foster a client’s growth and development.
Max has over 2,100 hours of coaching in multiple domains including emotional intelligence, decision making, communication, and conflict management. In addition, Max has facilitated over 80 teams and coached 450 leaders engaged in real world high-stakes problem solving. Max’s experience working in volatile and sensitive environments coupled with his ability to resonate with clients of diverse backgrounds and experiences makes him an ideal coach for those who are resistant or even hostile to coaching.
In addition to his work as a coach and facilitator, Max has extensive experience designing pragmatic curricula and programs to foster leadership development through real-world experiential learning. He is also a public speaker having addressed groups at Georgetown University, Strayer University, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Public Defender’s Office and the National Police Exposition.
Max’s experiences include serving as an intelligence officer in the US Air Force and as a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Louisiana State University, an MBA from Georgetown University, and is a certified leadership coach by the Georgetown Institute for Transformational Leadership.
